Belated Post - White Drago Sword ( Power Rangers Dino Thunder )

Somehow I had forgotten to post this little gem when I bought it... The White Drago Sword from the PR Dino Thunder Series, wielded by White Dino Ranger, I believe... Sentai version should be Wing Pentact wielded by AbareKiller... Now, this is packaged in a box with Japanese words, but the contents are the US version... and I am not complaining, as the US version is slightly bigger than the Japan version... Very expensive due to the gigantic box, approximately $52.80 after shipping... yeap, from Taobao.com... sigh... So today, I finally decided to de-tomb it and throw away the packaging... and also tore off the ugly sticker... hahahaha....

Opps, forgotten to twist the neck (wow, cruel...) as this is how it came in package... Position of head aside, this is the quill pen mode (or something like that), where AbareKiller (or White Dino Ranger) can supposedly throw energy arrows (or such) from it... (will check out the series later)... The holster is snapped at the seam to form the holding part, and seem to be very loose... hope it holds...

And the sword mode... still a bit too small (yeah, I am nitpicking, hahaha...)... The main issue I have with this mode is that the button to press for the sound is placed at the top (thumb) position which makes it awkward to press while holding the sword... May try to add a switch at the index finger position... Though it only has 2 sounds, I still quite like it...

August Purchase (6) - DX Shift Car Holder (3rd Buy), DX Morphin Brace, Candy Toy Momotaros Imagin Medal, (Loose) DX Zou Medal

Collected my Taobao.com haul today and coincidentally found my eBay purchase of the Momotaros Imagin Medal in my mailbox when I return home from the collection...

First up, a 3rd time buying of the DX Shift Car Holder, which costs approximately SGD17.20... which is quite cheap... So now I got an extra (Candy Toy) Max Flare and extra DX Funky Spike... Yeap, will mod them into some other Shift Cars... maybe Kamen Rider (Ichigo), or Super Dead Heat, or Formula... or... hmmm... Oh, the below is an old picture of my 1st time purchase of the holder...

DX Morphin Brace... Was quite sad when I realised the side sealing tapes are gone, luckily, the inside plastic bags seem to be "fresh" and not opened before... This is for my little nephew, as his little sister wants to have his Morphin Brace from the smaller Narikiri set... Now he is enjoying the game mode, hahahaha.... Costs approximately $39.40...

Very very "expired" candy it contains, hahahaha.... This medal is from eBay, costs SGD11.66 (free shipping)... I wanted to make my DX OOO Driver to have the Super Tatoba combo (which I can easily paint the current medals to suitable) and also the Tamashii combo... so what about the Shocker medal???... let's see the next item...

... yeap, will be modding this loose DX Zou medal to a Shocker medal... Sigh, will not put up how much it costs, after knowing (and also buying) the super cheap DX medal sets in the recent JL Expo sales... anyway, hope to work on this soon...

Now waiting for my DX Zanvat Sword (2nd buy) to arrive... hehehe...

(KO) Poppy - Onsa Onkaku Modifications (kamen Rider Hibiki)

Bought this suspected KO of the Poppy Onsa Onkaku (Kamen Rider Hibiki) in July 2013, and only till a few days ago then I finally put in the sound circuit... I looked up on the internet and find the authentic packaging of this item has a "P" logo at the right bottom corner instead of the Chinese words seen in the picture, and also there is no light feature in the authentic version...

Back of box is almost completely copied... I think...

Showing again the items detombed...

Here's a pic of mod in progress... The sound circuit that is implanted into it has LED light output when the sound is being played, so I connect the 2 LEDs at the KO's eyes to the sound circuit's LED output... Like the DX version, sweet... Also, the tuning fork tends to flop down when flipped up, so I added magnets to hold it in place when flipped up... Not very strong hold but will do...

A video demonstrating the KO Poppy Onsa Onkaku...

August Purchase (5) - DX Core Medal Set 2 and 5, First Hero Series Medal Shooter, Ranger DX Hand Gear, Robo (Knight) Morpher, and Such

Went to the John Little Expo Sales today and bought some toys for me, my little nephew and little niece... First up, DX Core Medal Set 02 (Sagozou) and 05 (Burakawani... hey, its the movie exclusive medals!!!)... 2 sets for SGD 5 only!!! Yes, $5 only!!! Each set costs only $2.50!!!! Super cheap... Did not buy the other set as I already have the stag beetle medal and the rest do not form a combo... So happy.... hahahaha....

First Hero Series Medal Shooter cost $5 for 3 pieces, so 1 for me, 1 for my little nephew and the other for my little niece... Very fun to watch the medals fly out of the buckle, hahahaha.... For those on a tight budget, this is a good piece to mod into cosplay belt as it also has the tilting function...

Bougth this (Megaforce) Ranger Deluxe Hand Gear for my little nephew, hope he likes... This costs only $5, so even if not fun, it is still a cheap buy... but think my little nephew will like it...

2nd purchase of the Robo (Knight) Morpher for myself, to mod it to attach to my DX Leon Laser... Very soft sound, and when I open up to check out the circuit board, I realized the whole battery compartment is soldered onto the other side of the circuit board and further secured with melted mushroom plastic pegs, hence I am discouraged from modding it to have a louder sound... Cost $5 too, which is cheaper than my last time purchase at Robinson's Expo Sale ($9)...

Also gotten a WWE US Championship Belt from Mattel for my little nephew... Costs $15, which is quite cheap... Initially did not want to buy this, but after seeing another person picking up 2 pieces (for his sons) I couldn't resist picking up this (last piece) into my shopping bag... a bit of chrome paint chip but I felt this makes it look better, like weathered and conditioned...

For my little niece, I bought this Barbie doll with Angry Bird Shirt and trolley.... Cost $15...

Also gotten this Zoobles Flower House set at $8 for my little niece...

Update - Capsule Showa Legend Rider ( Ichigo ) Lock Seed and August Purchase (4) - Z-Rex Blaster (KO???)

Transplanted the old Candy Toy KR Ichigo Lock Seed's LED-added-circuit into the Showa Legend Rider's. However, the extra switch I add in to activate sound when opening the lock seed was not aligned properly, so when I reopen the lock seed to adjust, Murphy's Law kicks in... so after many hours of repair, it was finally done...

And here's the video of it:

Also collected my Z-Rex Blaster (China version) this evening... Costs about $31.80... very expensive, and suspect it may be a 2nd-hand set as the plastic tray is taped below the toy to repair a crack.. wtf... Many of the screws are rusty and had to be replaced for aesthetics sake... I suspect this is a KO version as the sounds are very very different from what I seen (heard) in Youtube clips... Luckily, at least it doesn't sound weird... WIll give to my littlw nephew next time...
