Restoration 修复 Bootleg DX Hellrise Progrise Key ヘルライズプログライズキー 国产地狱蝗虫密钥 Kamen Rider Zero One 01 Zero-One

Saw on Bilibili that the bootleg Hellrise Progrise Key circuit board did have the switch for the timer countdown & additional special attack name calling sounds feature, just that the limitation of a normal Progrise Key casing causes the manufacturer to do away with it. Hence, I added a switch to connect to the battery +ve and K5 pad on the circuit board to restore back the sounds. 

This bootleg even replicates the feature of jumping to the movie line that Hiden Aruto will say before he henshin into Hellrising Hopper mode, after hitting the big switch to produce the timer countdown sound.

Then I used a spare 3D-printed Assult Grip previously purchased to modified it to attached, using hot-glue, to the Progrise Key, with the intent to use the top trigger to act as the original version's. The back cover was made with 1mm (????) ABS sheet. Then spray with black paint. It look quite ugly through camera lenses but is actually ok when looked at with eyes.

Restoration 02 Bootleg DX Zero-One Driver for Zero-Two Sounds Kamen Rider Zero One ZeroTwo Knockoff

 

Just a quick demonstration of the addition of Zero-Two sounds into my bootleg Zero-One Driver.  Very primary and crude method used, with a total of 3 push-switches needed in the end... Will take a bit more pictures of the internal next time together when dong the light effect restoration. Tried to use the bootleg's speakers, but the volume turns out too loud, and have to use another speaker, and turns out too soft when the 2 halves of the casing are closed. Hopefully can figure out a way to make the new sounds louder, possibly make some not-so-visible sound holes on the body.

It seems that the KO company is coming out with their bootleg versions of the Secretary and Realising-Hopper Progrise Keys!!!!

Restoration 01 Bootleg DX Zero-One Driver for Activation Commencement Kamen Rider Zero One 01 KO

Made the following "restorations" to the bootleg:

* Activation sequence by using Progrise Key instead of pressing the yellow button. A reed switch bought in the past for the bootleg DX Taiga Spark was sued for this.

* Authorise DX Progrise Keys at the same time (the bootleg and non-DX Progrise Keys are not affected as they can self-authorise or no need authorise). A magnet is used. NEED TO CHECK FOR THE CORRECT POLE WHEN GLUING THE MAGNET TO ENSURE DX AUTHORISE BUSTER CAN BE ACTIVATED CORRECTLY TO "ZERO-ONE AUTHORISE" !!!!

* Trimming of latch peg to allow other faceplates to latch on properly

* Trimming of some springs to allow smoother operations. However, stupidly damaged the extension-spring used for the faceplate movement... Have since bought some springs from Taobao... Luckily the old one still sort of works, and quite well...

* Added mini magnets to hold the faceplate in place when retracted. Faceplate is still loose due to molding, but at least it will drop slide back slightly when shake.

* Minor trimming of sprue and touch up

Did not do the lights modification as the light-diffuse sheet is still on the way in shipping. I just covered with up temporarily.

Bootleg Wonder Ride Books - Sound Replacement ( Kamen Rider Saber Series )

There is a version 2 of the bootleg Seiken Swordriver with the Wonder Ride Books / sword now updated with various actual transfomation sounds. But because the Taobao shop is not able to send this item through Taobao's official shipping courier, I can only replace the original (lousy) sounds that came with the bootleg books with a simple transformation sound. Used some sound recording circuit boards (no model number) to do so, also gotten from Taobao last time. 

 The finisher sound ( "geki", and not "giri" )in the bootleg sword, I think, should be activated without pulling out the sword, my bad... Or is it not??? Cannot remember...

Thus have I seen : Some Bilibili toy reviewers accidentally discover the 80cm Seiken (China Version) has a "Test Mode" that can be activated by:
(1) Press trigger, then switch on power.
(2) As power switch on, almost immediately release trigger.
(3) After a split second (i.e. let the trigger "rest" a teeny while) of about 0.3 to 0.4 seconds (???!!!! just exaggerating) , press the trigger 4 times rapidly.
(4) If you hear the "hng hng" sound with red light slow flash, it means you have successfully enter into the test mode.

With this mode, you can set the red light to be always lit up as you display the seiken as Kaenken Rekka. Similarly for Suiseiken Nagare. Unfortunately the test mode does not have yellow light to allow the Raimeiken Ikazuchi to be displayed with yellow light.

 Looks a bit better... but the blade blaster will leave paint stains on the holding hand everytime, so it will probably stay in the holster from now on...

Wanted to get a Red Ranger one but could not find 1 ( Takashimaya Singapore ) at the racks, so gotten this. There is also 1 Green Ranger but I hesitated and decided to not buy in the end.  Quite fun to see this super old-school toy flipped the heads to morph.

2 Hidden Sounds of Gashapon Capsule Toy Kamen Rider OOO Gaia Memory

 

This used to be a Kamen Rider OOO Gaia Memory. I believe most, if not all, of the gashapon or capsule toy Gaia Memory sound circuits are manufactured this way, where the factorycan choose to select which set of pads to solder in order to get the particular sounds for that Gaia Memory. Already saw some China enthusiasts join multi-throw or DIP switch to control the type of sounds. Quite fun. Do remember to break the original soldered pads when playing this modification (at your own risk), in order to get the full range of sounds for that set.

Yutaka Toy : Simplified Arcle ( Rising Form ) Henshin Belt Kamen Rider Kuuga

A toy made in year 2000... Actually this item came much earlier, but it was only just now that I repaired the sound circuit.  I initially bought this with the intent to modify it to fit onto the Legend Henshin Arcle Belt for the Rising Form and/or beyond. But it is a bit too small to fit properly. Will try to see if still possible... Hopefully can... There are 7 simple sounds that this belt can make... very nostalgic... 

Captain America Wakandan Shield Bootleg Knockoff KO Undersized Avengers Infinity War

 "... And give this man a shield!... " Costs estimated SGD 21.80 per piece. This is supposed to be for ages 14+ years old... This plastic toy seems to be copied from some 1:1 scaled metal prop replica of the Wakanda shield that was out in the markets some years ago, and as usual, some people in China sees the opportunity to make some $. This is also slightly undersized, 44cm long when fully extended, which I guess is to prevent legal issues in China... Still, this size is quite good enough for children and even for us Asians with smaller arms. Wanted to make it spread wider for a more triangular shape seen in the "I am Steve Rogers" scene, but after opening up, realised that it is not quite possible without quite major works and patchings. Will probably change the sound and lights to just pale blue lights to have the vibranium energy feel... Looks good...

Phoenix Edge 凤凰利刃 ( Legend Hero Samgugjeon 레전드히어로 삼국전 梦想三国 英雄传奇 )

 The weapon of Cao Cao in the show. Costs estimated SGD 20.20. This is the Chinese sounds version, but not sure if there is a Indonesia language or Korean language version. This is not the DX-type, unlike the other weapon DX Dragon Blade 灵龙刀 that was featured in the past, the "hero piece" is a 1 sided switch. However,, (almost) all sounds are in and quite complete. Plastic is just slightly thinner and a bit more rubbery-feel, but acceptable.. I have to open up and modify the LEDs as the running (light) sequence is reverse. The switches near the handle is also a bit cranky, sometimes slight touch will cause it to be rebooted or continuously mode-switching... But as a toy, it quite surpass many newer tokusatsu toys Bandai recently churned out. .. in my opinion, at least... It is smaller than the actual 1:1 scale but as a toy it is already quite big (gun mode is about same size as the DX Dragon Blade). In fact, it is not a long/big sword even in the show.
