Saw the video... seemed to be a tough issue... you may like to check if the electric contacts under the number pads if they are corroded from the alkaline leaks, or after long long time, or such, and have shorted to one another, probably this may have cause the wrong signal to be sent to the chip to not able to recognize the numbers pressed... but this needs to open up the phone to inspect and troubleshoot, which may be a bit difficult if you have no experience in so...
I was wondering if I can ask you questions about repairing a DX toy. My old DX Orga phone has a strange defect.
