(Kitbashed) Kamen Rider V3 Double Typhoon Belt

Took a long time...but finally it is completed!!!! My very own Kamen Rider V3 Double Typhoon Belt!!!! Used a spare LRS Ichigou Belt to make ... The design will be based on the LRS Double Typhoon Belt (which I once tried to purchase from Taobao.com but was told that it was sold out...)

Used another sound record-playback circuit to replace the earlier one as this one will not lose the recordings even when batteries are taken out... 2 motors are used to run the fan blades separately... All components bought from Taobao.com ...

Can't really see properly here... but there is a piece of clear plastic covering over the big hole, which will be painted later... The gaps are sealed with super-glue with tissue paper, then filed off  the excess when dried.....

Testing... ok!

Next, exterior of the belt... spray painted... Took a long long time as I realised the white paint will get "fused" with the red plastic... In the end had to spray a layer of silver over first then spray the white...

Interior of the belt buckle... Added plastic pieces to prevent the inner circuit to be seen from outside of the 2 circular "windows...

Belt is attached...

Used a hand-soap bottle plastic to cut out the "V" detail, and toy sword's sheathe to cut out the "3" detail... Both are pasted with double-sided tape... Nice... Done!!!!!!

Here's a quick demo of the Kamen Rider V3 Double Typhoon Belt...

Last part left to do: The battery cover... hahaha....

Edit: Made an update modification to use only 1 push button to activate the fan-spinning and henshin sound in this post...

December Purchase (4) - DX Diendriver (Korean Version)

Haul from eBay arrived, sweet... After a last failed attempt to implant the card-reading circuit from DX Dragvisor to Darkvisor, hopefully this time the transplant (card-reading circuit from DX Decadriver to this Diendriver) will be a success... Cost SGD$53.40...

Weapon Mod - Spin Sword Blade & Handle Mod (Details Incomplete)...

Although the Spin Sword (Samurai Rangers version) has a much better blade-handle proportion than the DX Shinkenmaru (Shinkenger version), I still find the blade a little too short... Hence decided to get a toy sword blade to replace the existing one... The new blade was shaped to what the original blade has, in order to fit and locked into the Spin Sword. Hot-melt glue is used to flow into the gaps at the tip to give it sturdiness...

Testing... Ok!... Also cut a small piece to cover the blade nearer to the spinning part...

Spray painted silver chrome, then lacquer, but the sprayed lacquer matts the shininess of the chrome silver, so sprayed chrome silver again over the blade... Sadly, the plastic of the new blade does not allow spray paint to stick well...

Finally done! Any sticking is done using hot-melt glue... The new handle is also recycled from the cut-up toy sword's handle, and taped up using black elastic tape... Need to put up more details, like the red narrow triangular detail in the middle of handle, the Shiba Clan logo at the end of handle, etc...

A comparison of the modded Spin Sword with the original one... Overall, not a good mod, some part can be better, especially at the part where the 2 blades "join"... Looks too fat...

Edit: The handle details are done...

My updated Shinkengers / Samurai Rangers gear...

December Purchase (3) - DX Ichigan Buster, DX Sougan Blade, Toy Cleaning Set, Takara Tomy Jenny Bride Doll, Puella Magi Madoka Magica Big Head Figurine, Nohohon Zoku Head Swaying Flower

Last day of the Sheng Tai Branded Toys Christmas Sale today... and bought a whole lot of stuff...

Cannot help but wonder how much the folks have earned from selling these toys at a superbly high price (before sales); I believe they also can earn a little by selling at this heavily discounted price... Anyway, cannot resist to buy 2 sets of the Go-Buster DX weapons... Too cheap to miss...

DX Ichigan Buster
Got a pleasant surprise when I saw the price... $20! It was selling at $30 for the 2 times I went down, so I quickly proceed to check out the price of the DX Sougan Blade, to convince myself I can buy the 2 weapons (as a set)... Ok, can buy... and bought 2 sets instead of just 1, hahaha.... 1 for me (I am sort of collecting authentic and/or knock-offs of Sentai/PR weapons), the other for my little nephew... This toy is quite heavy, like a real camera! Sweet...

DX Sougan Blade
The binocular is even cheaper, only $15! Used to cost $25, I sort of quickly grab them... The blade is super short, even though the show's prop is short-bladed in the first place... Strange the other side of the blade is not painted/sticker-ed, so looks a little plain... Probably will make some mod, hehehe... Also bought a 2nd Battle Pokescan for my little nephew to battle with his Ah-Peh, hahaha....

Toy Cleaning Set
For my little niece, hopefully she will learn better in cleaning up her toy mess, hahaha... Cost $18...

Takara Tomy Jenny Bride Doll
Last one or two remaining.. Seems very hot-selling... Cost $9... Hope my little niece will not differentiate between Barbie dolls from Jenny dolls, hahahaha....

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Big Head Figurine
Don't know what it is... Just buy for my little niece... Cost $5... Maybe is bad buy... hopefully not...

Nohohon Zoku Head Swaying Flower
Gotten this at $12 for 2.. will place one at my office... Cute... swaying...swaying... swaying... hahahaha...

Trash Pack Trading Cards (Freebie)
2 packs of weird trading cards for playing... They are free, so no further comments...

December Purchase (2) - DX Fang Memory (2nd Buy), Ben 10 Omnitrix Touch, Jenny Dolls

Went to the Sheng Tai Branded Toys Christmas Sales today again... True enough to it's poster's claim, it has "new toys" added... Let me recall... Power Rangers Samurai Battle Gear Twin Pack ($?), DX Decadriver ($18), LRS KR Agito Belt ($?), DX Ongekishin Raigo Ongekigen Retsurai (aka KR Todoroki Guitar weapon) ($8), Handy Series (non-DX) Ongekiko Kaentsuzumi Ongekibo Rekka (aka KR Hibiki Belt and Drumsticks)($?), etc etc...

DX Fang Memory (2nd Buy)
2nd time buying this item, this time is for my DX Lost Driver to showcase, hahahaha... Was very scared that it might turn out to be a Korean pronunciation, but luckily, it shouts "~Fang-gu~"... Hahaha...Cost $15...

Ben 10 Omnitrix Touch
Not sure what it does, but maybe will safe-keep it till my little nephew turns to like Ben 10... someday... Cost $12, but is also selling at $20 for 2...

Jenny Dolls
For my little niece... The pink box one cost $5, and the black box cost $9... cheap...

Free Gift: Ben 10 Nanomech Figurine
Its...its... a free gift...

Probably will be going there again, hopefully got "new toys" that I don't have but will want...

Mods - (2nd Time) DX Meitou Onsaken's Blade, Upcoming Mods Preview...

My little nephew's original DX Meitou Onsaken has a modded 'blade' but as it was made of a quite flimsy and thin plastic, it did not last long under the 'harsh' conditions of playing and keeping.... Was already damaged quite some time ago, but only today had the momentum to re-mod the blade...

This time I used another toy sword's blade which is slightly thicker and rigid, but the trade-off is that it is not exactly what the show's Meitou Onsaken's blade looks like... However, since durability is the main consideration here, I don't really bother about this point... Still looks better than the original DX Meitou Onsa'dagger'...

The tip of the blade connector is damaged, and the broken pieces lost, so I had to drill a through-hole next to the tip and use a cable-tie to secure the blade connector to clamp the blade well... Not quite visible, so lucky...

A comparison of the 2 DX Meitou Onsakens' modded blades... the top is new blade mod, below is my old blade mod... Although my old blade mod is flimsier, it actually looks more show accurate than the new blade mod (which I think is a little too broad, and tip of blade is too curved...)

The new blade mod is also thicker too especially at the top of the blade...

Some upcoming mods, incomplete so far... Hopefully will be soon... missing materials to continue, hahaha...

"The same! Shin..." Why must they always say "the same"??? Cannot be different meh? No creativity, unlike Akibarangers' roll call speech, hahahahaha... Have to try spray paint the 2 blade parts, and also make a slightly longer handle to cover over this short one...

"~Aka-i aka-i, aka-i kamen no vee su-lee~..." I know the words are not spelt this way, just fooling around, hahaha... Belt strap is finally done... Now only left to make the "V" and "3" patterns to paste on the buckle front, and also a make battery cover since I lost the original one...

December Purchase (1) - KO (Remolded & Resized) Ninja Storm / Hurricanger : Ninja Sword / Hayatemaru

Bought this at a Mama shop in the market today...at SGD $14.10 after a discount of $0.80... hahaha... Actually I only wanted the weapon, hahaha...

The KO Ninja Sword / Hayatemaru, from Power Rangers Ninja Storm / Hurricangers series... Of course, this is highly remolded (eg. sword handle, hilt, etc) and probably re-sized, and super simplified such that the molding and quantity of parts can be kept at a minimum...

Some of the features, like the swiveling gun-handle and especially the clip to hold the blade in the sheathe, are retained, making it a still acceptable (by me of course) KO PR/Sentai weapon for collection... Length of the sword is about 33.5cm from top of handle to tip of blade...

The mold of this toy seem to be the mirror-image of the original one... Has new molded details too... Notice this mold still retains the belt clip feature, nice ...
