My little nephew's original DX Meitou Onsaken has a modded 'blade' but as it was made of a quite flimsy and thin plastic, it did not last long under the 'harsh' conditions of playing and keeping.... Was already damaged quite some time ago, but only today had the momentum to re-mod the blade...
This time I used another toy sword's blade which is slightly thicker and rigid, but the trade-off is that it is not exactly what the show's Meitou Onsaken's blade looks like... However, since durability is the main consideration here, I don't really bother about this point... Still looks better than the original DX Meitou Onsa'dagger'...
The tip of the blade connector is damaged, and the broken pieces lost, so I had to drill a through-hole next to the tip and use a cable-tie to secure the blade connector to clamp the blade well... Not quite visible, so lucky...
A comparison of the 2 DX Meitou Onsakens' modded blades... the top is new blade mod, below is my old blade mod... Although my old blade mod is flimsier, it actually looks more show accurate than the new blade mod (which I think is a little too broad, and tip of blade is too curved...)
The new blade mod is also thicker too especially at the top of the blade...
Some upcoming mods, incomplete so far... Hopefully will be soon... missing materials to continue, hahaha...
"The same! Shin..." Why must they always say "the same"??? Cannot be different meh? No creativity, unlike Akibarangers' roll call speech, hahahahaha... Have to try spray paint the 2 blade parts, and also make a slightly longer handle to cover over this short one...
"~Aka-i aka-i, aka-i kamen no vee su-lee~..." I know the words are not spelt this way, just fooling around, hahaha... Belt strap is finally done... Now only left to make the "V" and "3" patterns to paste on the buckle front, and also a make battery cover since I lost the original one...
