Kamen Rider Wizard (and Merchandise) has Landed in Singapore...

... and very glad to see that the price is not hitting the $100 mark... perhaps Bandai Asia learnt its lesson from previous KR merchandise sales... having said that, the price is still on the steep side, considering this is a "old" model... And hey, the DX Wizardriver box has English text like its predecessors!! Hahaha... was afraid the sounds may be modified to English, but upon closer inspection, the Japanese pronunciation of the sounds can be seen on the box, so probably this retains the Japanese sounds (unlike the weird DX OOO Driver)...

Back of the box...

And nope, the DX Wizard Sword Gun has Japanese text on the box... Final question: Will the toys drop their prices drastically in the end, like in the past?... hmmmm....

May Purchase (1) - Wolzard Battle Set ( Magirangers ) , DX Accellular ( Boukengers )

Part 2 and 3 of my self-purchase birthday present series (the first being a KO MP Tracks)... The Wolzard Battle set (Jagun Shield and Wolsabre)... Cost about SGD 35.80... took a long time to find a cheap one... Size is a bit too small, and it (the shield only) makes only 3 sounds with a blinking LED... However, this makes a good display...

Also bought 2 DX Accellular (1 for my little nephew as his birthday present) - my part 3 birthday present... Costs about SGD 13.75 each... again took a long time to find a cheap cheap one... hahaha...

No waiting for my Part 4 birthday present; not a toy but a (KO) folding bike...

Sheng Tai's Branded Toys Warehouse Sale

Went to Sheng Tai's Branded Toys Warehouse Sale at Eunos Warehouse Complex yesterday morning...yeap, it will be from 28 April to 2 May... I reached around 10.15am yesterday but there was already a crowd and quickly building more too... Not pictures, because I initially wanted to take pictures after I pay for my purchases, but in the end put back the 2 DX Zodiarts Switches and a Pokemon Mega Ring... far too many people queuing up for payment, and queue seems snail-slow... not many tokusatsu stuff... sigh...

Kamen Rider Ghost Ore-Tamashii EVA Foam Helmet

Got fever up after watching some clips on making cosplay suits with EVA foam, and decided to try out. First started with this Kamen Rider Ghost - Ore Tamashii helmet. I bought the templates and foam from Taobao.com, and started on this hard and tedious journey...

Parts are cut out and joined with hot-glue. The parts are supposed to be heated and molded to stay in a round shape but I skip this step as I do not have a hot air gun (which I have since purchase one and is on its way here), and the seams tend to be very defined... The basic helmet look like this in the picture. The initial design has 2 slots for the eyes but after trying, they are too narrow to see out. Hence I thought of putting large pieces of black transparent plastic over the whole eye...

The initial design has the back of the helmet cut up a slit and head to squeeze in with the flexible foam opening up big enough... But it was very very hard to put the head into the small opening, and I decided to use this concept instead...

I tried using a hat shade to make the eyes, but they are too thick and in the end, they keep breaking off fro the eye holes... Failure...

Resort to using window solar film to cover over the original foam for the eye (with a opening for the eye to see for each piece).. not good too but gain some experience...

Flaps are also added in to keep the hair and ears in, and not get caught in-between when putting on the back piece...

Also cut some slots to help ventilation... slightly... In the show, these slots appear to be on the piece above this one in the picture...

Finally paste some velvet cloth inside the face area for more comfort.. slightly...

Done! And nope, this is not for me, this is for my little nephew's birthday present...

March Purchase (3) - Shodo Candy Toy Masked Rider 1, DX Astro Switch Set 2, KO LEGO Superheroes

Had my usual weekly trip to Chinatown past Sunday and got a few items while at CSC... First is the Shodo Candy Toy Masked Rider 1 figurine, which is a very nice figurine, with quite a lot of good joints for articulation... It is almost like a mini S.H.Figuarts figure, with lost of "posability" options... Cost $8 after discount...

This is how it will be displayed on my shelf!!!

Also bought this DX Astro Switch Set 2, as I wanted to collect "Circle" astro switches for my DX Barizun Sword... Cost $5...

Finally haul will be the 4 KO LEGO Superheroes: Ant Man, Hawk Man, Green Arrow, and Martian Manhunter... Costs $10 (for the 4 boxes)... Special thanks to stall owner as he allows me to pick the Ant Man box which is the newer series one that costs 3 for $10, many thanks!!!!...
