December Purchase (4) - KO Lego Super Heroes : The Flash, Shazam

Hey, what's up blog friends, Akuna Prime here the freaking hygiene freak himself, and today we are going to (mini) review the Knock-Off Lego Super Heroes mini brick figures: the Flash and Shazam... So here we are, and there they are, and first and foremost, we'll take a quick look at the packagings... (in a weird voice) yaba daba... aren't they "cuuuute little things"... (normal voice) Oh, each toy costs SGD $3, purchased in a pasar malam stall...



... and at the back you have the obligatory product shots that show you the contents of toy... with some warnings and sign...



... and don't forget.. SAD PAC-MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (shakes boxes mildly violently)... Sad Pac-Man... heh... and basically that's it, for the packaging... (throws away boxes).... (and picks the boxes back)...



... So here we have the KO Lego figurines, Shazam and the Flash out of the box... Hey hairless Shazam!!! There are a lot of waste spaces inside the big box...



... First up: The Flash! And (in a weird voice again) oh, little flash teletubby, ~say ~hello... oh so cuuuute... (normal voice) hahahahahah... perhaps this is a good way to let the grown up collectors to recollect their childhood memory... yeah, why not?... dare I say, why not...



... And all the contents of the KO Flash figurine...



... and here's a close up view of the Flash, with the other face (both sides of the head has a different face painted on it)... Nice KO... good plastic quality and joints are tight... Paint details are also good...



The Flash comes with 2 electric...whatever.. stuff that can be fitted to the hands... to simulate electric bolts... or perhaps the lightning flashes when he is speeding... To do that, first rotate his left arm to the front and left leg to the back. Then fit 1 of the lightning piece to the fist and ensure the lightning points to the back... 2nd verse same as the first, but rotate the right arm to the back and right leg to the front... and there you have it! The Flash speeds up!... Me likes, me likes...



And next, the Big Red Cheese - Shazam!!!!!! Wait... Shazam has a mustache??? Tony Stark??!!! What the h*ll.. what the h**ll... Oh, sorry, see wrongly... it's the mouth with a little chipped off paint, and I mistake it as a mustache... hahahaha... Hmmm... Shazam with a mustache... why not?... dare I say, why not..

... Close up of Shazam.... Opps, the cape is shifted to the wrong side..... Quality is good...

.. and eh... yeah, heh heh heh... so I think that's pretty much it for the review... and don't forget to check out my other Transformer blog... and I think that's pretty much all that has to be said.. So there they are, the KO Lego Super Heroes: The Flash and Shazam... and I'll quote a fantastic Youtube reviewer saying "You don't stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing! Be geek, be proud. PALM IN YOUR FACE!!!!" *Salute*

Kitbash - "DX" Hamel Cane (KR Wizard - White Wizard)

Kitbashed the DX Hamel Cane over a few days... In fact, the bashing and joining part is easy, it is the painting part that is time wasting and lots of errors appear... For this kitbash, I use a DX Metal Shaft, a sword from a China Base cartoon series (I think), some gashapon key-chain Wizard Rings, a saw-off handle from a toilet floor scrub, and some narrow plastic pipes...  All joining done with hot-melt glue gun....




The thick red paint has to be filed and sanded off... and some residue still remains... sigh...



Masking is done with some lousy masking tape and this caused paint to seep in and stain the not-to-paint parts together with the masking tape's glue... Sigh... More sanding has to be done on this (silver) parts... and this also means need to paint over these silver parts... Finally done... Now left the handle (yes, I know the original is supposed to be / look like a pipe too) and the pipe connecting the "blow-piece" to the cane itself...




A quick comparison of the WIP Hamel Cane to the original DX Metal Shaft (belonging to my little nephew)...



Added handle and pipe... More sanding after painting the handle... and repainting... Sigh.... Complete!!!! Posing with the DX White Wizard Driver... Nice...




The rings have to inclined at an angle due to limited space especially at the last ring (nearest to the mid-body of cane)... Looks good though...



A closer look at the blade part... I cut off a section of the original sword blade and reattached them back to form the spear blade... Looks good but a little bit too large... And it can be extended (using the original DX MEtal Shaft's gimmick)!!!




The middle part (close up)... Original idea is to put in the DX AxCalibur's sound-light circuit inside, but the circuit board is too big to even put inside the Gaia Memory slot... no choice but to give up the idea...



Closer look at the tail part... and yes, the tail part retains the extend-retract gimmick too...




Can put in Gaia Memory and activate!!!!



Can also slot in the Gadgets too!!!

December Purchase (3) - DX Handle Ken, DX Shift Cars Set 01

Sigh... Bought the DX Handle Ken at a overly high price of approx. $73.75... Fujiya is/was selling at $55 only... sigh....



The DX Shift Cars Set 01 is slightly cheaper at about $28.60...

December Purchase (2) - Pokemon Mega Ring w/ Mega Stone, Littlest Pet Shop Blind Bag, My Little Pony

Bought these at Kiddie Palace (Bedok Mall) yesternite, for my little nephew and little niece.... Prices can be seen on the pictures...






Sigh...no headache, but now got flu...

DX Faiz Gear Box - Mid-board Removal and KR Belts and Such Display Update...

The DX Faiz Gear Box has a compartment to store the Belt Buckle and straps but it also has a middle-piece that acts to stop the buckle piece from falling out. This causes it to be less show accurate and most importantly if you want to display everything placed inside the DX Faiz Gear Box, the buckle will not be seen... So thought of removing the middle-piece in the DX Faiz Gear Box... Tried to remove the pin that holds the box together but cannot hammer it put as it is too long and tight... In the end, I have to chisel a slit at each of the connector parts of the middle-piece and tug out the entire middle-piece... sigh... there goes my intact box... However, the end results looks good, hahahaha....



Now the whole (basic) DX Faiz Gear can be displayed better...



... Update: Display of KR Belts/Driver and Such... Still has a "KR Diend Final Form" Driver Belt, LRS KR Orga Driver Belt (yet to mod) up and coming...

November Purchase (3) - DX Shift Car Set 2, DX Magiphone

Bought these two items at Taobao.com thru' local agent 65daigou... hope they have restored their system, as there was a long queue while collecting the items as the staff has to use the manual system and jot down the handphone numbers of those who collect... and it seems that there are more people using this neighbourhood collection service as compared to last time...


DX Shift Car Set 2
$30.80... Costly... Impulse purchase... Should have waited... sigh... but nevermind, some gain, some lost... Strangely, the Dream Vegas has a serial number imprinted on the underside of the car body which my little nephew's other DX Shift Cars don't have...



DX Magiphone
Bought 2 of these at $44.80, so works out to be a low price of $22.40 for a "antique" Sentai deluxe morpher... Not tested out yet, but fear that they may have low sound volume same as that of the Bandai Asia releases for phone morpher ("safety reasons", they must have figured... )... Hopefully not...



Waiting eagerly for all my items to arrive in Guangdong warehouse so that the Taobao agent can quickly ship out the items in time for Christmas...
