Gattai !!!! Customized Gashapon-"DX" Mighty Brothers XX Gashat

And here we go!!!!... (Complicated work, but the concepts are simple... Hence I shall talk about the concepts only, do try out (at your own risks) and have fun ... and sweat too...) First the Double-Up orange gashat needs to swap the 2 little switches' circuit paths to behave as if it is in Level 1-2 slot of the DX Gamer Driver (cut off the end of the original path and solder to the other path at the most convenient position, refer to picture)...

To decide to Level-Up or Double-Up, a switch is used to switch over the battery's positive to that particular circuit board desired... white LEDs are also added....

The final attack (Kimewaza) sound is included in the gashats and can be activated with the 2 little buttons depressed and followed by pressing the big (thumb-pressed) button. However, as the big button is hidden when the gashat is in the DX Gamer Driver, I connect a switch parallel to it for the final attack (Kimewaza) to be activated...

The 2 gashats (main body) are then hot-glued together (while they are placed inside the DX Gamer Driver, so as to accurately space the distance between them)...

Hole is marked out for the front display for the images...

... and cut out...

ABS plastic sheets are used to make the side walls to encase the images... They have to be painted black...

Internal images are pasted... The Level 10 image is self-printed as it needs to be reversed for the mirror to be reflected... Also hot glued the LEDs to position...

Made a single-direction-view mirror using the film and a clear PVC sheet...

Should not have been lazy and used the green gashat plate without flipping over... Now the space is too small for the mirror to be angled properly at 45 degrees with ample space.... sigh... anyway...

A small piece of the mirror is cut off and placed at the bottom to reflect the light up at the legs...

Front display hole is covered with a piece of transparent plastic recycled from old Transformers packaging box...

Assemble them... do some touching up and...

... Done!!!!! Not very good but still workable... hahahaha...

Modification : Gashapon Kachidoki Lock Seed - Added LED and Sound Effect when Opening Lock Seed

Sorry for no pictures...

Update : Modification (II) Gashapon T2 Joker Gaia Memory - New LED and 3 Battery Holder

Tried out the new SMD purple LED recently bought... but it was no good, and the light is somewhat more bluish than purplish... Luckily the red permanent marker saves the day... also tried to make the battery compartment to hold 3 batteries, so now the voltage is now higher, approx. 4.5V...

Repaint and Add Light Modification : Gashapon Proto Mighty X Gashat

Apologies for no pictures as I had forgotten to take....

Update : Modification (II) Gashapon Dangerous Zombie Gashat : LED Remains On after Sound Effects

Apologies for no pictures as I had forgotten to take...

(Some) Haul from Sheng Tai Branded Toys Warehouse Sale...

*** Prices are in Singapore dollars ***

Was a bit disappointed on the first day as there is only the DX and simplified versions of the Fourze Driver for tokusatsu role-play toys... Last day seemed to be slightly better with more variety, but I suspect the DX Sword-Gun could have been wiped clean... anyway, hoping for the other sales to come for me to try my luck to get the DX Sword-Gun... But very happy to get this DX Wizardriver and Ring Holder Set at a very cheap price of $39 only!!!!! Amazing... and now I have to squeeze out a display space from my already packed wardrobe doors... hahahaha...

and my 3d time (and also the cheapest) purchase of the DX Axecalibur... at $29 only... nice nice... now I probably can display the empty shell of my 2nd purchase version in my office cubicle... Yeap, empty shell as the inner circuitry has been removed for the future kitbashing of a "power-on" gaia-memory-something-like-that that will be used on my kitbashed Hamel Cane... hahahaha....

... and second purchase of the DX Meteor Galaxy for my little nephew at $5... Yeap, only $5... !!!!!!

Bought some other stuff as well, which some I did not take photos of eg. Big Hero 6 Figures, popping Jibanyan game, etc... I will like to mention this one though, since Charizard is my "favorite" pokemon... Slam him on his legs on a hard surface, shake him to produce sounds, and even interaction with the Mega Ring... quite fun... Costs $3 only...

Bought 2 sets of this 3D Drawing pens (the other for my little nephew) and some refill "ink", but have not tried yet so cannot comment... Costs $15 each...

Sigh.. stupidly bought 2 of these Shopkins StyleMe Wardrobe (1st day and last day)... not sure what to do with the extra one... maybe it shall go to my office cubicle as display... hahahaha... cost $12... The 2 packs of season 5 shopkins cost $15... amd the My Little Pony Squishy Pops costs $5...

Have been modding some lockseed, gashats, gaia-memory and such these few days, but somehow feel very tired... and also did not take pictures of the modding, not sure why... things will get better, I believe !!!
