Dec Purchase (6) - Gashapon Go-Buster Ranger Key, Ride & Go #03: Gokai Galleon

Gotten this at CSC today... Mainly is because they are cheap, hahaha...

Gashapon Go-Buster Ranger Key
This is a loose Gashapon key that costs $4... buy also because the Legend Mobilate has only 1 key only... and can say out "Go-Busters!" (I think_...)

Ride & Go #03: Gokai Galleon
Cute little toy, but bought it also because the Gokai-Red key I purchase from Taobao does not seem to be able to reach here in time... yes, it is still in Shanghai... sigh... anyway, this is cheap, only $5...

DX Rouze Absorber Mod - Evolution King Plate

The USD25 DX Rouse Absorber... As I should not be getting the DX King Rouzer, I thought I might just make use of the KR Garren Fusion Jack Plate and mod it into KR Blade Evolution King Plate!

Printed out some pictures of the KR Blade Evolution King Plate to actual plate size for reference. Then use thin poly sheet to form the major parts of the face plate motif... Took a long time to figure out the layers as the picture is quite blurred...

Some of the parts/layers have the edges chamfered to get a better profile, though later then realised that the effects are not very good after painting... Parts are then glued to 1 base layer.... As for the "insect legs", I rolled up some small pieces of tissue paper and drip some glue over them to mold them into shape (think paper mache)... Turns out well... except I forgotten about the last pair of "legs"!!!! ... Hmmm.... maybe will add them on tomorrow, for today, just make do with it! Hahaha....

I then silver painted the green parts on the KR Garren Fusion Jack Plate, after which I painted the areas blue with a permanent marker.... Ready to paste the plate over... except the tab att he end needs some work...

Extended the tab with 2 small pieces of polysheet layered to form a good thickness, to paint it black once testing is complete.... And it works perfectly...

After painting and a comparison of the (almost) completed KR Blade Evolution King Plate.... Looks 85% close!!! Hahaha...

Looks good (from far)! Also printed out the Evolution King card on 2 glossy photo paper and stick them together with double-sided tape...Nice... the printed card is thin enough to be stored into the Rouse Absorber's card holder yet rigid enough to swipe (and press the activation switch)...

EDIT:
Added the last pair of "legs" for the "insect"...

Looks better now... No no no, don't zoom in to look, it looks bad with the poor painting...

Dec Purchase (5) - Shinkenger: DX Fire Smasher

Bought this at TRU today, with a 7% discount and a $10 voucher, so cost is approx. $27.20.... When I open up the item a while ago, I was surprised to find the actual toy still has the Japanese warning sticker pasted on it! With the Chinese/English instructions, this seemed to be a Bandai-Asia release... Hmmm, should be bah... Anyway, a very big toy, bought it as I felt it is quite a large sales price difference (original seems to be about $99...) and 2 days ago my little nephew was telling e how "powerful" this Shinken-red's weapon can destroy the "bad people"... hahahaha...

Dec Purchase (4) - DX Basshaa Magnum, DX Garulu Saber, DX Accel Driver, DX Engine Blade, DX Trial Memory

Haul from Taobao arrives! Mostly happy mood, though got 1 item really confuses and frustrates me...

DX Basshaa Magnum
For my little nephew... No electronics, but still expensive... duh... cost $28.40 approx... not sure of the exact cost as this is packed with the DX Garulu Saber when shipping...

DX Garulu Saber
For my little nephew too... Did not realised this saber is this big... cost $40.25 approx...

DX Accel Driver
For me!!! Hahaha... Actually I am too eager and bought these DX KR Accel Henshin gears too early, as recently saw 1 store selling way, way cheaper... Good thing is that this is the Bandai-Asia release, and so the memory speaks the Japanese-English pronunciation... Cost $82.80 approx...

DX Engine Blade
This little fella drives me crazy... First, the box shows signs that the item has been tampered with before, as there is a big clear tape that covers over the original tape on 1 of the sides... "Nevermind...", I told myself... Then when I opened it, I realised that the tray was placed opposite (where the item side facing the back of the box)... Wow, I don't think the packing staff will make such errors in packing, right?... "Nevermind...", I told myself, again... btw, the body of the DX Engine Blade is stamped with some Japanese words... *EDIT: I just watched some Youtube clips on this Engine Blade review and realised that the Korean version has the same stampings and white "serial number" on the handle is the as mine! #*%$!!$#*&.... and the Japanese versions apparently have no white "serial number"s... Sigh...

Now this time, when I saw the Engine Memory, I went crazy. The back of the battery cover has Korean words (I can still differentiate between Japanese and Korean letters)!!!! WTF!!!! Quickly tested the memory, and surprisingly, the memory speaks the Japanese-English pronunciation!!!!!!!!!! ... Arrrgggghhhh..... So now I got a Japan/HK Korean version of the Engine Blade, with a Korean DX Engine Memory, that pronounces the phrases in Japanese-English!!!!! Hmmm... Amazing... so being a hygiene freak, I quickly clean the blade and memory thoroughly with anti-bacteria wipes, and slowly finds this Engine Blade quite fun!! Hahaha... Cost $62.15 approx...

DX Trial Memory
Also gotten this DX Trial Memory to complete the gear set... I kindda like the gadgets that gives Kamen Riders a speed-up state i.e. KR Faiz - Axel Watch, KR Kabuto - Hyper Zector and this KR Accel - Trial Memory... Bought them all... Hahaha... Cost $46.25 approx...

Dec Purchase (3) - DX Rouse Absorber (and some Gashapon Kabuto toys)

Packages from eBay arrived today!... However, was disappointed to find out the Gashapon Kabuto toys have no sound... my fault, I did not ask the seller prior to buying... luckily, the DX Rouse Absorber gave me some relief...

Gotten this Korean version at approx. $31.70... Did not mind the Korean versions of the Kamen Rider stuff until the KR W line, where they "gey kiang" and try to use their own pronunciations/sounds... Oh, maybe the Denebick Buster too, but the effect is not too strong, since the words are too muffled and long to understand...

I might try to print out the Evolution King card and use the included KR Garren plate to mod into the Evolution King plate... Many work... (Just to vent my frustrations: Messed up the V3 belt mod!!!!!! Now got to see if can use motor to make the fans rotate... sigh...)

Update - Candy Toy KR Ixa Belt: Stickered

Some pictures of how the Candy Toy KR Ixa Belt looks like after applying the (dried-up) stickers... The belt strap's connector at the end of the belt strap is not included in the box...

Dec Purchase (2) - Legend Rider Series Belts ( KR Ichigo, KR Kuuga, KR Faiz ) & DX Kabuto Zecter

Haul from Taiwan arrived! Impulsive but cheap buys!!! The DX Kabuto Zecter also arrived!!!!

LRS Kamen Rider Ichigo Belt
Gotten this for 1 and 1 reason only - to kitbash it into a Kamen Rider V3 Belt!!!!! Since it cost so cheap at approx. $32, decided to buy it for the kitbash, when I was deceived by the Taobao seller that he has an LRS KR V34 belt, when apparently he did not have... anyway, hope to be successful, as the internal space to put in the V3 belt parts seemed to be blocked by a lot of obstructions... Good luck to me!!!!

LRS Kamen Rider Kuuga Belt
Again, couldn't resist buying a NT499 KR belt!!! Thought my little nephew might also like this if I manage to convince him that the DX version is out of production... and he did LOVE this, hahaha... This is actually a very nice belt with good details molded on the belt buckle, very nice... Cost approx. $32.65, slightly more as it came from a different seller and slightly bigger volumetric weight when shipped...

LRS Kamen Rider Faiz Belt
"Standing by..." ... Again an impulse buy... yes, it is also NT499... So I told my little nephew if I can't mod this Faiz phone to have a gun-mode, then he shall have to make do with it... Think he has no choice but to accept... Anyway, also told him he can use the new Trigger Magnum his Ah-Peh bought him recently as KR Faiz's gun... Cost is approx $32...

DX Kabuto Zecter
This little fella just arrive a few moments ago!!!! Finally managed to received the DX Kabuto Zacter in 1 that is in MISB condition, after sending back the 2nd-hand one that the seller sent me earlier... Anyway, this is expensive, cost $376.80... Must make sure my little nephew takes extremely good care of it.. hahaha...

Hope my other hauls arrive soon!!!!

Belt Mod for Candy Toy Delta Driver

Completed assembling of the Candy Toy Delta Driver some time ago, but did not want to post as the belt is not done yet... Seems like this toy is quite abundant in Taobao... Used an old fake leather belt to do.. As the old belt is torn at many parts, I have to salvage whatever is remaining and hence this weird belt strap is born...

Besides the KR Delta belt buckle itself, the main henshin devices are the video-recorder (on the left of picture) and the gun-handle (right of picture, and I don't know what it appliance is supposed to be)... The stickers are shiny for the silver parts... bling... and yes, the small Mission Memory is detachable from the belt buckle... both the video-recorder and the gun-holder comes with small missiles to shoot... and the gun-holder's body is hollow to store the missiles (cover to open is at the base)... the gun-holder's "antenna" can be pulled out slightly too...

Here are the 2 devices joint together when henshin-ed... Picture gives a visual error that the gun handle is small and the gun-body-barrel is large, like a Magnum gun... it is not... See last picture as a good gauge of the proportions...

The Delta-Gun (I called it this name) can also do an "exceed charge" by slotting in the Mission Memory on the top and the 3 "barrels" will slide out! Cool... The small video screen can also be flipped out. Inside is a small piece of cardboard with 2 sides of "screen displays"...

Another view of the Delta-Gun in "exceed charge" mode...

Side view... Now this shows the gun in actual proportion... Pity the video-camera is a bit too small, else the Delta-Gun will look much better, like a Magnum gun...

Hope my mod for a V3 Legend Rider Belt will be a success!

Belt Mod for KR Hibiki's Ongekiko Kaentsuzumi - Ongekibo Rekka

Got some time to replace the plastic belt of my KR Hibiki's Ongekiko Kaentsuzumi - Ongekibo Rekka set, suing a brown fake leather belt... Quite simple mod, actually, just need to unscrew the belt strap connector pieces, mark out and poke 3 holes each on both belt straps, and assemble them together... Quite nice and feel it matches to the KR Hibiki theme and matching style to the belt strap seen on the KR Hibiki show... but this belt strap is a bit too thin, and already showing signs of wear after 3 putting-on... Must be the heavy Disc Animals... I already removed the Crab one, yet...  Hope it last...

Now have almost complete my basic KR Hibiki role-playing set (less all the Disc Animals... )... Still only left to make a hook-holder for the Onsa-Onkaku...

Dec Purchase (1) - DX Billy The Rod, DX Hee-Hack Gun, Astroswitch Kaban, Candy Toy Ixa Belt, Gokaiger DX Legend Mobirate

Bought the first 3 items on Sunday at Sim Lim Square... yes, Sim Lim Square... Saw a shop inside Sim Lim Square that sells these cheap Kamen Rider stuffs, happy (for my little nephew...)...

DX Billy The Rod
I can't really remember the prices of the individual KR Fourze DX stuff, only know they cost $90 in total after a $5 cut from the shop owner... The Astroswitch Kaban should cost $20, if I remember correctly... Anyway, my little nephew loves this electric sword, just after seeing how KR Fourze "transform into (the) golden Kamen Rider" in 1 of the episode now watching... He is eagerly anticipating the Hee-Hack Gun which I will give him when he does not misbehave himself, hahaha....

DX Hee-Hack Gun
Not given yet, so not sure how it is... but according to the reviews on Youtube, there isn't any lights... Should I mod some lights in?? Hmmm... maybe not...

Astroswitch Kaban
Bought this briefcase as a impulse buy... Was still cursing how impulsive I am in buying this, until I gave to my little nephew and he loves this!!! He likes to play the computer screen to call out Powerdizer and such, and he is happy to be able to store his Astroswitches and lug around, "like the Faiz suitcase (that I have)", he says... hahahaha... and he is amazed how the Winch Astroswitch that comes with the Kaban is able to beat the Zodiart to defeat...

Candy Toy Ixa Belt
Gotten this at CSC... at $10... Unfortunately I couldn't find the other Ixa Knuckle that has sounds, sigh... missed this chance last time... But still, made a reasonably decent belt for my little nephew to wear and he likes it very much!! Only bad thing about this is that the large number of stickers to be applied are dried up, and I have to manually apply glue from a glue-stick onto each piece to stick them onto the toy... Damn hard work... and keep missing these pieces as they fly off from the sicker sheet easily...

Size comparison with my DX version... it is actually quite big for a candy toy belt... very big, in fact... Will take some pics of the stickered toy next time, if I can remember, and have the mood...

Gokaiger DX Legend Mobirate
Also bought this at CSC, at $60... A bit pricey, but my little nephew loves Gokaiger so much, so thought this might be good for his Christmas present... Have also bought more keys, especially the Gokai-red and Shinken-red, and some other more, all on the way to S'pore...

Seems my haul from Taiwan has arrived, hope to see them tomorrow...

PLEX Onsa Onkaku Modifications...

Couldn't find a cheap (cheap = $15) DX Onsa Onkaku, so have to make do with a PLEX one, and since I have an extra Meitou Onsaken, I decided to implant the circuit into the PLEX one... Thought will be easy, but I was wrong...

Prying open the casing is 1 tought nut... Anyway, the bell inside has to be removed, and also removed the plastic tab (circled in dotted red line) that hits the bell...

All the basic materials...

Need to use a SPDT microswitch (circled in red) to replace the original power-on/off switch, and all 3 pins need to be used... the metal strip of microswitch is also removed... the battery holder (circled in yellow) is recycled from a toy phone...

Still have to drill through the lever piece (when pull down will flip up the tuning fork) to let the wires go through... more work are done: soldering, gluing the pieces in place, troubleshooting, painting... etc...

Done!!! Finally...

Notice there are holes drilled to allow speaker's sound to pass through... Added a small plastic piece to act as the switch (actually is just glued to the microswitch as extension to let finger or thumb to press)...

Now my PLEX Onsa Onkaku has sound and light... though the sound is a bit short... and one sound only...

And the Onsa Onkaku can still be folded, then spring open by pulling down a small lever...

Disc Animals can be popped in too, but cannot be spun, as the CD will just hit the "face" and break apart ...
