Ranger Keys Modification - The Quest to Obtain SMF Green, Blue and Silver, and In Space Black Ranger Keys...

Since the keys in each pack are the same, I decided to mod them to get more sounds to be screamed from the DX Legendary Morpher... And I got 3 more (as of now).... Choose to have these 3 as these are the Super Megaforce Rangers keys, and together with another 3 more SMF Keys on the way, I will get 2 hidden sounds... Probably will mod the Black Dino Thunder Ranger Key into Merry Christmas... If I have the time and mod...

I drilled and cut and trim the required slots that are missing from the code, and sealed up the un-necessary ones. This plastic is slightly oily, and will need a small pair of scissors or nail clipper or such to do trimming... Sealing is a bit difficult too as I need to first use a plastic glue to stick the tissue papers to the slot's inside surface, then slowly use superglue-tissue to fill up the slot completely... Nearly die of gas poisoning as I forgotten about the vapour released when tissue reacts with superglue and work in a long time in air-con room...Luckily I manage to realise and open the room for ventilation in time... and I survived!!! Hahahahaha...

Paint is then removed from the main torso as well as from the gloves part...

Finally self-printed stickers are slapped onto the torso, and touch up paint on some other parts for more accuracy... I did not do anything to the heads as I wanted to "show my appreciation" to Samurai Green, Blue (and later Dino Thunder Black) for "agreeing" to "guest-star" for the Ranger Keys...

Edit: Re-do the stickers for SMF Green and Blue Ranger Key as the old ones look too pale... Also cut out some tiny slits at the sides of the stickers (near the chest area) to allow better adhering to the body profile and stick better... Finally used super glue to seal the easy to peel off areas... Now looks better especially when looking at the physical thing...

A similar method is used on the SMF Silver Ranger Key... but because the head and arms are made of soft rubbery materials, any paint over them results in sticky surface... Hence I need to "coat" the surface with superglue, let it dry, then paint over it (with a silver paint pen)... Now I got 3 more new sounds!!!

Sadly I tried to print out the scanning code but failed to work... not sure why but gave up trying already... since I only need the keys to work on the morpher, think it is ok...

Can't wait to receive my haul of Ranger Keys from Taobao.com!!!!

Edit: Modded the Dino Thunder Black Ranger Key to the In Space Black Ranger Key... Thought the white stripe across the chest is a bit plain, so used the uniform's white strip with 5-colour rectangles... As with the other mods, the head is not modded... This time I used hot glue to fill up the holes and then trim with a penknife and a pair of small scissors...
