October Purchase (6) - DX Drag Visor Zwei ( 2nd Buy ), KO Orb Fusion Card Holders, Gashapon Gorilla and Diamond Full Bottles ( Kamen Rider Build Series )

I have no idea why I bought this... Likely is the super low price that makes me felt that I can buy and keep one such "antique" and hard-to-find Kamen Rider DX toy for future replacement or such... But when I remove the contents, the Drag Visor Zwei itself looks quite scratched up to be considered a "new" item... Anyway, I hope it is just because the item is too old and has been stored too long in warehouse... I hope... anyway, now I am very tempted to replace the card-reading circuit in my modified DX Dark Visor Zwei with the card-reading circuit found in this one, so that the Survive and Survive-typed cards can be read... and make a Dark Visor to house the old circuit... hmmm... all we need now is a little energon.. I mean time, and a lot of luck... erm, motivation... Costs about SGD 30.45 ....

And gotten these KO Orb Fusion Card Holder for SGD 15.10 for 2, which means about SGD 7.55 each... I think it should fit in the actual legit Fusion Cards that my little nephew has... I hope... hahahaha... The paint job is still quite ok but you can find some parts not painted nicely... Also the plastic quality is definitely more towards the cheap night-market-toy type but still quite okay...

You probably can't see what items are these, but the title of this post will hint you that they are the gashapon Gorilla and Diamond Full Bottles... they are of course for my little nephew...  Costs abut SGD 16.45.. .Very expensive for 2 small plastic bottles... sigh...

October Purchase (5) - 2017 Movie Power Morpher and Red Power Sword

A surprise purchase today at Robinsons Expo Sale, which I was actually hunting for other Tokusatsu deals instead of these 2... Anyway, they come in super torn and tattered packaging, and the Power Morpher had a small peg broken discovered while I was playing with it at home... managed to open it up and repaired with a spare plastic rod, but still ... and also the yellow coin has a speck of black stuff on the inside of the coin, and I can't pry it out, making the coin unpleasant to look at when light shines through... anyway, will overlook it with the low price... hahahaha... Oh, the morpher, as well as the sword, costs SGD 25 each, way below the initial retail price of SGD 89.99 ....

Power sword seem to quite a good size, the handle part is a bit "squeezy" but manage to fit my hand... anyway, will be hanging it up for display, so not really matter... The blue light looks good, but would have prefer the whole blade glows... yeah, I also know it is a bit too much to ask for, for a kid's toy...

The Power Morpher makes 2 simple standby sounds and 2 morphing sounds. The Power sword has a few 'normal' cutting/slashing sounds in Battle mode and a simple slash-when-he-says-so game in Training mode, and NO special attack sound... So are they worth the initial retail price of SGD 89.99 each? Personally I don't think so... But at SGD 25 each, still quite okay to grab 1, at least for display... hahahaha...

October Purchase (4) - 2nd-Hand DX Orb Calibur and KO Orb Calibur

Gotten a 2nd-hand DX Orb Calibur (approx. SGD 37.60) to rip out the circuit and try to implant into a same-sized KO Orb Calibur (approx. SGD 9.75)... Cos I am a HYGIENE FREEEAAAKK!!!!! Hahahaha... The KO comes with freebies of some self-printed 1-sided Orb cards and a sticker sheet...

The KO version is tbe cheapo flea market version, but surprisingly, the back of it seem to be come "solid" than the DX version which had hollow parts... Have already ripped out the ridiculously weird sound circuit board from it... Will have to do some modding but hopefully will not be too tough...

Custom Paint - Golden Special Rush Ring

My little nephew gave me the Special Rush Ring as he already had one, so I painted this extra one into a golden version with a gold paint pen... Quite like it, hahaha...

October Purchase (3) - DX Build Driver, DX Hawk Gatlinger, DX Hyper Muteki Gashat

Went over to Fujiya and bought the DX Build Driver at $90, for my little nephew's Christmas (I think) present... Seems now Taobao sellers are jacking up the prices of these DX drivers and stuff, and not really economical to buy from Taobao.com now... sigh... Did not buy the bottle holder as I felt it is not really worth it as it comes only with a Full Bottle but costs $30 (just a few dollars less than the DX weapons)...

Also bought a DX Hawk Gatlinger for $38... Don't think will be giving this to my little nephew though, likely I will be displaying it in my room with the rest of the stuff... Did not get the DX 4-Frame something something sword as it is basically only a static toy sword that says out some Japanese words, not really worth the money... At least this gun can swipe and rotate the bullets / magazine part.. Just personal opinion...

And cannot resist this DX Hyper Muteki Gashat at $35, think it will be a very nice display piece... shiny gold... hahahaha... The boss of the shop eventually gave me a $3 discount, thanks thanks!!!

October Purchase (2) - Tenkai Knights : Tavox, Vilius, Dromus ; Gashapon Kyutama : Shi Shi, Ryu ; Shokugan Heisei Eyecon

Collected haul from Taobao.com earlier in the day...

Gotten some basic Tenkai Knights for my little nephew... First are the plastic-bag-packed items of Tavox and Vilius.. Costs approximately SGD 7.90 for both...

The seller cut off the top part of the packaging instead of folding down.. well, nevermind... this Dromus costs approximately SGD 7.35...

Also gotten a gashapon Shi Shi Kyutama for my little nephew approximately SGD 8.90... And also a gashapon Ryu Kyutama at approximately SGD 7.55 for my own display, because I was born in the year of dragon...

... and lastly a shokugan Heisei Eyecon for my DX Deep Slasher to properly have the normal special attack sounds... costs approximately SGD 8.60...

Gattai !!!! Customized Gashapon-"DX" Gashat Gear Dual Gashat

Was quite confident that the Gashapon version of the Gashat Gear Dual gashats can be combined to near-DX, so went ahead with this operation... First up, the circuit... I also had to swap the circuit boards in the 2 casings as I had used a drink cap for the turning mechanism (tighten is clockwise)... This circuit will also allow either of the 2 black buttons to be depressed for activation...

A small microswitch is used for the selection of Perfect Puzzle or Knockout Fighter mode...

The turning knob mechanism... The knob is from a fruit juice tetra-pack (?) and pusher (green-tube-like-thing) from an old light-up sword...

Hot-glue is used to join the parts...

Added a thin ABS plate to allow the pusher to better press the microswitch...

And the knob mechanism is basically done! The green tube will move linearly in when the knob (cap) is rotated clockwise, which will then press the microswitch to activate it...

Holes are cut at the black coloured plates for the lighting effect...

And circuit path is broken in preparation for the new switches to be soldered onto according to the drawn out circuit... Need to scrape off the green top layer of the circuit path to expose the copper for soldering... Repeat for the other circuit board...

Soldered!!!!

Similar to the Mighty Brothers XX gashats modification, holes have to be drilled for the wires to pas through from one gashat to the other...

Next, made a simple frame to hold the graphics stickers, using slightly thicker (approximately 1 or 1.2mm) ABS... Super glue is used to join them... and personally felt super glue is quite suitable for ABS joints as they stick quite securely!...

The graphic stickers are pasted onto thin ABS sheets and cut to size... This is because my litle nephew wanted the human figure to be "standing" when the gashat(s) is inserted into the DX Gamer Driver, and I am afraid he might change his mind, so I decided to paste the stickers onto ABS sheet instead of directly onto the frame using small pieces of double-sided tape on the 2 ends of each ABS sheet, which will allow them to be removed without much difficulty nor damage to the stickers...

The white LEDs are glued to the appropriate locations... oh, forget to mention that the battery holder was also modded to hold 3 button cell batteries (2xAG10, 1 x AG13)...

Frame is then painted with black paint pen and 2 silver chrome stickers are placed at the bottom to better reflect the white LED light to shine on the stickers...

As the gashapon Perfect Puzzle sticker is in a wrong orientation, I had to print out and make 1 myself... Part of the sticker is cut to paste onto the battery lid while the rest pasted on the gashat itself... This also sort of matches with the "puzzle" theme...

Looking good!!!

And after pasting the knob stickers...

.. and the Knockout Fighter sticker, the "DX" Gahsat Gear Dual is done!!!!! Very happy...

Yesterday's Haul from Sheng Tai's Branded Toys Warehouse Sale...

2nd trip to the Sheng Tai's Branded Toys Warehouse Sale on Sunday... Arrived there at 9.30am and quite surprised to see a queue of around 20 people had been formed.. Was about to take out my 2nd bun to eat (after finishing the yummy one of back pepper chicken filling), the staff suddenly announced the commence of the sales... Luckily went early, nice...

Gotten the last piece of the DX Gama Gama Gun, not sure if the inside contents are okay as I had not opened it up, though the box does have a lot of clear tape... Cost $15... in Singapore dollars, yeap... Actually I did not really wanted to get this item as I simply did not really like a frog-themed gun, but well...

A Ultraman Ginga Secret Scroll (direct translation) a.k.a. Ultraman Ginga Books of Secrets (???!!!!) at $5 only!!! Nice!!! Hope the DX Victory Lance can scan the symbols... opps, live signs... and also hope the inside is okay, as I had not yet opened it...

And bought 2 pieces of the DX Wizard Ring Holder, intending to use the ring-holding parts for my Wizard Rings display frame... yeap, $5 each... Suddenly now I have many Driver-On rings... hahahaha...

One for me, the other for my little nephew... Cost $5 each too!!!! Super cheap!!!... Or rather, I feel the previous retail price was too expensive, for such toys... Hope the contents are okay, as I had not open them too...

Another 3 boxes of Yokai Medals!!!! $10 for 3 boxes...

And bought this again, this time for my little nephew... yeap, $15... a bit expensive though...

And since my little niece "complained" she did not "even have any" Yokai Watch for her Yokai Medals, I got one for her... And this watch and dictionary set costs only $8 !!!!!

I though I ran out of luck to find a DX Yokai Watch Z for my little niece, as the big mountain of watches are the G1 white version.. luckily spotted one (and it turn out to be the final one in the pile too) and quickly grab it, despite the bubble seemed a bit crushed-softened... $5 is a steal...

And finally, 3 shiny Shopkins capsules for my little niece for only $5... Yeap, $5 for 3 capsules!!!

Looking forward to my next toy sale hunt...
