Ranger Key Display Frame

Used the $2 Daiso picture frame I bought earlier (original intention is to "house" the Ultraman Brother's Henshin Devices... ) to make a display frame for my Ranger Keys... Now need to only add some reinforcement pieces and a proper hook behind the frame.. and find a good place to hang it up...

Front view of the display....

I used some small L-hooks with screw-threads and screwed into the board, then hot-glue the tips to secure the L-hooks as well as cover up the sharp ends behind the frame...

Hope my Legacy Saba Saber comes soon... and safely... and no issues...

October Purchase (2) - Ranger Keys Haul and Some Mods...

Collected my haul of loose Ranger Keys (likely factory-rejects due to QC, or 2nd hand ones which I hope not...) bought from Taobao.com yesterday... and quickly get to work on the mods especially for the Alien Red (which makes morpher say same name as MMPR) to convert to Time Force Red (so as to get another new sound)... Bought 8 Red Ranger Keys, SMF Yellow and Pink Ranger Keys, and the total cost including shipping etc is approximately SGD23.15... Did not get the other series' Ranger Keys of other colours as they all have the same series's key blade, meaning they produce the same sound for each series...

Special mention to the SMF Red and MMPR Red Keys... The SMF Red Ranger Key is the metallic colour version, but sadly, someone previously swapped the key blade with another, or perhaps assembly error, so I had to mod it back... The MMPR Red Ranger Key is the transparent version...

Here's the picture showing the key blade mod for SMF Red Ranger Key...

And here are all my Red Ranger Keys so far... Don't think will buy Ranger Keys anymore, hahahaha...

And here are the SMF Ranger Keys... The reason I complete the whole set of SMF Keys is because of the extra sounds the morpher will make with these keys...

And all my Ranger Keys... nice... Am thinking of either displaying them on a big Frame or keeping them in a small treasure box...

It is after taking the pictures that I realized that the chest sticker of the Time Force Red Ranger Key seemed too short... so re-make a longer sticker, and now it looks much better... Bottom picture shows its key blade mod...

Now waiting for my Legacy Saba Sword to arrive... Hope everything goes alright...

Ranger Keys Modification - The Quest to Obtain SMF Green, Blue and Silver, and In Space Black Ranger Keys...

Since the keys in each pack are the same, I decided to mod them to get more sounds to be screamed from the DX Legendary Morpher... And I got 3 more (as of now).... Choose to have these 3 as these are the Super Megaforce Rangers keys, and together with another 3 more SMF Keys on the way, I will get 2 hidden sounds... Probably will mod the Black Dino Thunder Ranger Key into Merry Christmas... If I have the time and mod...

I drilled and cut and trim the required slots that are missing from the code, and sealed up the un-necessary ones. This plastic is slightly oily, and will need a small pair of scissors or nail clipper or such to do trimming... Sealing is a bit difficult too as I need to first use a plastic glue to stick the tissue papers to the slot's inside surface, then slowly use superglue-tissue to fill up the slot completely... Nearly die of gas poisoning as I forgotten about the vapour released when tissue reacts with superglue and work in a long time in air-con room...Luckily I manage to realise and open the room for ventilation in time... and I survived!!! Hahahahaha...

Paint is then removed from the main torso as well as from the gloves part...

Finally self-printed stickers are slapped onto the torso, and touch up paint on some other parts for more accuracy... I did not do anything to the heads as I wanted to "show my appreciation" to Samurai Green, Blue (and later Dino Thunder Black) for "agreeing" to "guest-star" for the Ranger Keys...

Edit: Re-do the stickers for SMF Green and Blue Ranger Key as the old ones look too pale... Also cut out some tiny slits at the sides of the stickers (near the chest area) to allow better adhering to the body profile and stick better... Finally used super glue to seal the easy to peel off areas... Now looks better especially when looking at the physical thing...

A similar method is used on the SMF Silver Ranger Key... but because the head and arms are made of soft rubbery materials, any paint over them results in sticky surface... Hence I need to "coat" the surface with superglue, let it dry, then paint over it (with a silver paint pen)... Now I got 3 more new sounds!!!

Sadly I tried to print out the scanning code but failed to work... not sure why but gave up trying already... since I only need the keys to work on the morpher, think it is ok...

Can't wait to receive my haul of Ranger Keys from Taobao.com!!!!

Edit: Modded the Dino Thunder Black Ranger Key to the In Space Black Ranger Key... Thought the white stripe across the chest is a bit plain, so used the uniform's white strip with 5-colour rectangles... As with the other mods, the head is not modded... This time I used hot glue to fill up the holes and then trim with a penknife and a pair of small scissors...

October Purchase (1) - Legacy Dragon Dagger, DX Legendary Morpher, Legendary Ranger Key Packs (Samurai, Dino Thunder), DX Meteor Galaxy, DX Super Rocket Switch (2nd Buy)

Went to Sheng Tai's Branded Toys Warehouse Sales, and today happens to be the last day... Yeap, I did not realised it until last night, so luckily manage to have 1 last day before it ends... I remember last (few) year(s) this sales used to hold for a few times in a year, but this year is like the 1st (or maybe 2nd???) time... A bit disappointed when I started my hunt there... There was a last piece of Power Rangers Super Megaforce Deluxe Super Mega Saber (wah, very mouthful of words...) at $8 but I did not get it as the ranger key was missing (Later then I realised that all the ranger keys of the Super Megaforce products are gone, except for 1 and only 1 DX Legendary Morpher, selling at $2 more than the others, and I even thought why did they packed it with 2 more keys, not realising that there are NO ranger keys inside the triangular box...)

Anyway, gotten a Legacy Dragon Dagger at $99... A low price, until a few hours ago I realised that Hobbyarktoy is selling at only $80... sigh... anyway, it is a BEAUTIFUL piece of dagger!!!! Super nice, and with all the die-cast, it feels heavy and nice to handle... Think it could be a 1:1 scale to the show prop... very happy... hahahaha....

... Kira kira 24K gold(-plating) !!!!! Hahahahaha....

Edit: Pics of KO Mini Dragon Dagger meeting his good friend the Legacy version, and my current Legacy line hoot so far... Now waiting for the Legacy Saba Sword to come... and waiting the Legacy Blade Blaster to start selling... yeah, collecting the Legacy weapon line...

Picked up this DX Legendary Morpher at $8... Heh heh... cheap right? But it comes with a price which I did not realised when I was at there... THERE ARE NO RANGER KEYS PACKED WITH IT!!!!! THE RANGER KEYS HAVE BEEN REMOVED!!!! RIPPED OFF!!! WTF!!!!!!! ... Hahahaha... ok, cooled down long time ago liao, as have already found some cheap ranger keys in Taobao... ready to order as soon as this post is up, hahahaha....

When I first de-tombed the morpher, it did not read the keys properly, e.g. it read the Dino Thunder keys as SPD... so I had to dismantle it and after some investigation, I realised the edge of the key container inside the morpher is too thick and presses down the key-reading switches when key is turned... So I took a small file and wood-carving tool and chamfered/rounded the edge so that it will not come in contact with the key-reading switches... and happy ending!!! hahahaha....

Bought 2 sets of Legendary Ranger Key Packs at $5 each... Happy to see the Red Samurai Ranger Key is the male version...

And a group picture of the PR Super Megaforce stuff bought today...

Next, Kamen Rider stuff.... Was tempted to buy the DX Tajadol Spinner but put back as somehow I cannot manage to convince myself it has sufficient fun factor to attract me into buying... and also I am not so keen on the 2 red medals too... There are also other stuff but it is either "have bought" or "not attracting"... In the end, picked up this DX Meteor Galaxy for $30... It is very fun to keep hearing the "Da-da-da-da, Limit Break!!"... hahahaha.... Very kira kira too.... hahahaha.... I must be becoming more and more like Zed... hahahaha....

And bought for a 2nd time the DX Super Rocket Switch at $5 only... ARRRGGGGHHH.... Why did I go and buy the super expensive (compared to this) one from Taoboa????!!!! .... hahahaha.... Initially wanted to display it together with my DX Meteor Driver but has 2nd thoughts and currently it is residing in my box of spares.... waiting the day I change my mind... hahahahaha....

September Purchase (4) - Kamen Rider OOO Series DX Core Medal Set 1 and Set 5 (Rebuy)

Delighted to see the promotional pamphlet of John Little Expo Sales 2 days ago and finally this day arrive... Went over and bought the DX Core Medal Set 1 and Set 5 (Set 5 is a re-buy as the medal sets are sold at 2 for $5.00)... As I have swapped the die-cast rim of the gashapon Kuwagata Core Medal to my candy-toy Imagin Core Medal, so thought of buying the Set 1 to get a good DX-type Kuwagata Core Medal... Also, the 2 other Core Medals ( Lion, Cheetah ) can also form a combo with my existing Tora (or should I say "Tiger!" ???!!!) Core Medal, I think should not have any wastage...

This will be for my little nephew to replace his gashapon version... Anyway, these 2 are the ONLY 2 types sold over there... hahaha...
